This is from a different site. I just want you to note the length and depth!
Name: Kelan Andrew Mayor
Age/Grade: 17/Junior
Character PB: Bryan Greenberg
Dorm or Neighborhood?: Neighborhood/Bowen Park
Extra Curricular Activities: Kelan is only interested in one sport, and one sport only. Lacrosse. He lives, breaths, and eats lacrosse. It is the only thing that can take his mind off of anything else for at least three hours for a game. He was nominated MVP at his old school, but that was before the accident. He hasn't played since, and he is scared to try again, scared to see how everything has affected the only other thing he loved more than a girl. Other than sports, he takes a tiny and I mean TINY interest in water, just because he thinks that water will keep him safe. He prefers night swimming, just because it hides the scars he hates to bear.
Personality: Kelan is much different than he was before. Before the accident he was a fun loving guy, always knew what to say to everyone, would be there for you, and basically was the best friend everyone dreamed of. Cute, funny, charming, and got good grades, and knew his way around the teachers. But, after the accident, something horrific happened to him.
Kelan has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He can't go anywhere without seeing the image of Melissa, bloody, cut up, staring at him from across the street, or standing in front of a doorway, just staring him down. He sees her in his mirror, and when he closes his eyes at night. He hears her voice everywhere, even in his sleep. "You killed me Kelan.", is what she says to him, no matter what time of day. He tries to get rid of the visions, but they won't stop. He can't shake off the voices, the images, or his anger. Nothing his psychiatrist does can seem to help him. He has been labeled a danger to the community, because of things that have happened.
One time when collecting groceries, Kelan was walking home when he spotted a girl who looked like Melissa from the back. He started yelling at her to stay away from him, to get out of his life, and the girl who was not Melissa called the police where his parents had to come down and kindly tell them that he had simply gone mad, and was not himself for a moment. The police wouldn't have this explanation, and put him under house arrest for two months. That just made things worse. He was now punching holes into the wall, and cursing at the walls to leave him alone.
He isn't your "best buddy" type of guy anymore. He's unsocial, and many think he's strange because he will just start talking randomly to himself, whispering things underneath his breath, and hitting things. His scars do not help him neither. He has been called a "freak" because of them, and he tries to hide them by always wearing long sleeves, even in the summer. He can't bear for his scars to be shown, but nothing he can do can hide the ones on his face. They are a constant reminder of what he did to his one true love, the girl he could never talk to, but always admired.
History: Kelan was born in a sleepy town of Brevard, North Carolina. He was born to two parents by the names of Margaret and Louis Mayor. He lived a good life, was very smart in school, and didn't get his first 'B' on his report card until sixth grade. He had everything going for him. Looks, sports, and grades. He was what most girls called, "perfect", and he had a great batch of friends. He wasn't much into the drinking or partying scene, but he did know how to have fun. He just knew how to do it without being in a drunken state of disaster. All throughout middle school and high school, he had a crush on a girl named Melissa Graves. He had no problem getting dates, he got an offer once a week, and he did his fair share of asking girls out also. But, for some unexplained reason, he could never muster up the courage to even talk to Melissa. She was the one girl who could make his heart knot up into a million pieces when talking to her.
She was beautiful, punctual, and had the brains to match. She wasn't the most popular girl in school, but to Kelan she was. She had poise, and knew how to make Kelan smile, but for some reason, every time he would try and ask her out, he would flake out, and talk himself out of it. His friends saw this happening, and decide to host a party, and told Kelan to go and pick her up. Kelan did what he was told, and before he knew it, he was at her house with flowers, waiting at her doorstep. When she came out, she looked drop dead gorgeous, and for a minute Kelan had forgot to say anything. They had a great time in the car, laughing, talking, listening to music. When they arrived at the party, they were the main attraction, and everyone was egging Kelan on to ask her out on a real date. Despite himself, Kelan drowned out his nervousness with drinking, and before he knew it, six plastic cups were labeled with his name, and he was on the couch, about to pass out.
The next thing he knew, he was opening his eyes to Melissa who was bent over him, stroking his head comfortingly, asking if they could go home now because she was tired. He immediately propped up, and made sure that he spoke slower so that he didn't sound as drunk as he looked. He got into the car with Melissa, and cranked the engine, and that's when it all began.
He seemed to be driving fine, everything was a bit blurry, but still, he could see when the lights turned red and green and he could tell when people were braking in front of him. But, the one thing he didn't catch while driving was the stop sign on the corner of the road. They were three blocks from Melissa house, and everything seemed to be going fine until he ran that stop sign. An oncoming car was coming toward him, and Melissa screamed, and Kelan tried to swerve, and he swerved hard, hitting the curb and making the car turn on it's side, not before slamming into a streetlight pole. Melissa was killed instantly, and Kelan was knocked unconscious, bleeding from his head and his face because of the glass shattering. The car then erupted into flames, and before he knew it his body was being engulfed by the fire.
The fireman came just in time before the fire damage to Kelan's body got too serious. He was rushed to the hospital where he learned he had a severe concussion and second degree burns. He learned that his face would be permanently damaged, but only the right side, and the scars would never heal. His chest was badly burned also, and he would have major scarring from the glass shards embedded in his skin. So, to make a long story short, his life would never be the same again. He couldn't play lacrosse for a good long time, and Melissa had been killed and he had been the cause of her death. Everyone would hate him now for what he did, for that one decision to drive and drink.
After a lot of physical and mental therapy, Kelan's parents took him back into their home, where they learned that their almost perfect son had changed. He was talking to himself, yelling, and hitting the walls. He would erupt into tears randomly, and scream at nothing out of no where. They sent him to Riverside where he could get away from all the memories, hoping that their son could recuperate. They made sure to check him in with a mental psychiatrist every other day to help him with his problems, while they went on a vacation to try and forget the pain of their son's state.
Current Stats:
Has burn scars along his right side of his face, as well as his chest area.
He speaks to himself, and cannot be trusted to be alone with somebody because he might have an outburst and start going mad.
Has been tranquilized multiple times by his psychiatrist because he got angry she was trying to help and tried to rush her.
Has no friends, just moved here, entering school in the middle of the year.
